Independent Sales Consultant – Dental Software

Fully remote | Flexible hours | Self-employed | Commission only

Lumina is an ambitious, founder-led dental software startup accelerating into the UK market. We’re building a modern cloud platform for private and NHS practices, combining everyday practice management with AI tools that help dental teams reduce administration and work more efficiently.

We’re looking for someone with dental SaaS sales experience to help us turn growing interest into new customers. You’ll inherit an existing pipeline, have direct access to the founder, and the opportunity to shape how we sell as the business grows.

What makes Lumina an exciting product to sell?

  • A free tier that opens doors. Practices can start using Lumina without a subscription fee, with paid tiers available as their needs grow.
  • Support for private and NHS practices. A broad potential market, from new practices to established businesses considering a change.
  • AI built into the product. Tools including Lumina Scribe help with clinical documentation and give practices a tangible reason to explore a more modern system.
  • Migration support. We work with a specialist migration partner to help practices move from systems including SOE/EXACT, R4 and other platforms, as well as cloud systems such as Dentally.
  • A responsive, founder-led business. You’ll work directly with the person building the product, with customer feedback helping shape its development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll develop the existing pipeline, build new relationships with practice owners and decision-makers, understand their needs, coordinate demonstrations and move opportunities through to a sale. We want someone who understands the realities of changing dental software and can build confidence throughout that decision.

We’re offering a generous commission package across our subscription tiers, with the structure and payment terms explained clearly during our initial conversations. This is a commission-only opportunity with no base salary at the outset.

The role is fully remote, and you choose your working hours. It can fit alongside other consultancy or commercial work. We’re looking for someone who can own opportunities and help us win business.

There is also scope to grow with Lumina and take a leading role in our sales function. For someone who wants a longer-term position, this could develop into a full-time role with salary and equity, subject to business growth and mutual agreement.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has proven sales experience in dental SaaS, ideally practice management software.
  • Understands how dental practices operate and how owners evaluate a new system.
  • Can confidently demonstrate software, manage follow-ups and close business.
  • Is comfortable working independently in an early-stage company.
  • Wants a meaningful role in growing a business.

An existing network within dentistry would be a strong advantage.

Interested? Apply with a brief introduction covering your dental software experience and the products or markets you’ve worked with.
