We are proud to offer an exciting opportunity to join our award-winning Children’s Services team, specifically within the SEND Travel Assistance Team, recently recognised as Team of the Year. We are recruiting two Travel Trainers to support our mission of empowering young people with special educational needs and disabilities to travel independently and confidently on public transport.
This role involves delivering a one-to-one travel training programme, helping young people develop the skills and confidence needed to access education, employment, and social activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored travel training to young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
- Promote safe and independent use of public transport.
- Liaise with families, schools, and transport providers.
- Monitor and report on individual progress.
- Uphold safeguarding and inclusion standards.
About You
We are looking for candidates who:
- Are passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Are familiar with local transport networks.
- Can work independently and collaboratively.
