Indian Subcontinent Travel Specialist job, based remotely in the UK, within the luxury travel industry, offering a competitive salary plus benefits. This is a senior sales and itinerary design role covering tailor-made travel across India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and the Maldives, client relationship management and destination expertise across the region.

Our Customer
Our client is a well-established, UK-based tour operator specialising in bespoke, tailor-made travel to destinations around the world. Known for meticulous itinerary design, genuine destination expertise and highly personalised service, they create memorable journeys for discerning travellers.
They are now seeking an Indian Subcontinent Travel Specialist to join their team — someone who combines strong sales ability with in-depth knowledge of India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and the Maldives to convert enquiries into bookings and deliver an exceptional client experience from first enquiry through to their return home.
The Role
In this fully remote role, you will manage the full sales and itinerary journey for clients travelling to the Indian Subcontinent — combining destination expertise, creativity and commercial drive to deliver exceptional, tailor-made journeys.
- Convert inbound leads into confirmed bookings, consistently achieving strong conversion rates
- Design tailor-made itineraries across India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and the Maldives, reflecting each client’s interests, preferences and budget
- Build trusted client relationships through excellent communication and a premium, personal service approach
- Collaborate with trusted ground handlers to ensure every itinerary element is executed seamlessly
- Stay current on destinations, properties and emerging travel trends across the Indian Subcontinent to sharpen product knowledge
- Manage your own pipeline and workload with strong organisation and follow-through
- Respond promptly and professionally to client enquiries across multiple channels
- Identify opportunities to improve the client journey and support wider business objectives

Experience Required
- Proven experience designing and selling luxury tailor-made itineraries across the Indian Subcontinent
- Deep destination knowledge of India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and the Maldives — routes, properties, seasons and on-the-ground detail
- Strong sales track record with a proven lead-to-booking conversion rate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — confident with high-value, discerning clients
- Strong organisational and time management skills — able to manage multiple itineraries simultaneously
- Self-motivated and disciplined in a fully remote working environment
