Butler Rose is delighted to be supporting a highly respected household brand with the appointment of a Buyer to join its procurement team based in Milton Keynes.

This is an exciting opportunity to support sourcing activity across a diverse range of goods and services while working within a highly collaborative and established procurement function.

The Role

Reporting to the Procurement Category Manager, you will support the development and delivery of sourcing strategies that drive value, compliance, and commercial performance. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business, helping to manage procurement activities, supplier relationships, and sourcing projects.

  • Supporting the creation and implementation of sourcing strategies.
  • Conducting sourcing activities in line with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Managing commercial negotiations with suppliers.
  • Preparing and presenting sourcing strategies and award recommendations to approval committees.
  • Identifying cost-saving and compliance opportunities through spend and supplier analysis.
  • Supporting supplier onboarding and vendor setup processes.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and providing procurement guidance.
  • Reviewing and processing purchase orders and framework order requests.
  • Supporting category planning, resource optimisation, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.

  • Experience within a procurement role, with indirect procurement experience being advantageous.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Commercial negotiation capability.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent commercial experience.
