Indirect Procurement Buyer – Marketing & Commercial
About the Role
Are you an experienced procurement professional with a passion for Marketing and Commercial procurement? We are seeking an Indirect Procurement Buyer to focus on sourcing and management of indirect spend categories across the UK & Ireland.
In this role, you will:
- Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, and Commercial teams
- Take ownership of categories such as media, creative & digital agencies, point-of-sale (POS), promotional materials, market research, and professional services
- Work to deliver value, innovation, and strong supplier relationships
- Report to the Procurement Manager
As a key business partner, you will ensure that governance, commercial value, and continuous improvement remain central to all procurement decisions.
This opportunity offers a chance to influence Ferrero’s investments in Marketing and Commercial functions, maximise returns, and support the growth of some of the UK’s most iconic brands, while also providing broader indirect procurement support where required.
Main Responsibilities
Category Ownership & Sourcing
- Own a portfolio of indirect procurement categories, with a focus on supporting Marketing, Sales, and Commercial functions
- Develop sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, innovation, and supplier capability
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities:
- Understand business requirements
- Develop tender documentation
- Select suppliers
- Negotiate commercial agreements
- Award contracts (compliance with Group Procurement standards)
- Manage categories such as:
- Creative & media agencies
- POS & promotional materials
- Market research
- Professional services & other commercial spend

Supplier Relationship Management
- Build and sustain strong supplier partnerships
- Monitor supplier performance via:
- Service level agreements (SLAs)
- Performance scorecards
- Identify opportunities for:
- Innovation
- Cost optimisation
- Continuous improvement
- Proactively manage risks associated with supplier relationships
Collaborative & Compliant Execution
- Work closely with Finance, Legal, and Global Procurement to:
- Ensure robust contract governance
- Maintain compliance with procurement policies
- Manage purchase order (PO) accuracy and invoice/claim resolution
- Ensure SAP procurement data integrity
- Support supplier onboarding
About You
We are looking for a commercial, collaborative procurement professional with a strong track record in indirect procurement, particularly with experience in:
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in indirect procurement, with preference for roles involving Marketing, Sales, or Commercial categories
- Hands-on management of sourcing projects, including:
- Creative agencies
- Media buying
- Marketing services
- POS materials
- Print/promotional merchandise
- Events/ 时间研究 (market research)
- Professional services
- Strong commercial negotiation skills
- Effective communication and influencing capabilities across multi-disciplinary teams
- Confidence in challenging constructively and balancing commercial priorities with procurement best practice
- Experience with SAP and analytical skills (excel, PowerPoint) to:
- Analyse spend data
- Uncover opportunities
- Present clear commercial recommendations
- knowledge of:
- Strategic sourcing methodologies
- Supplier relationship management
- Contract management
- Proactive, collaborative, and fast-paced FMCG environment-suited mentality
