About the Team
You will be supporting our Financial Services VAT practice with the following contributions:
- Demonstrate significant experience in the financial services, insurance, and/or asset management sectors, including an established network of clients and relationships.
- Exhibit excellent client relationship-building skills, balancing high-quality service with a deep curiosity about clients’ business strategies and assets.
- Drive execution capacity, technical excellence, business development (BD), and strategy, helping to:
- Implement existing FM business plans.
- Lead new business growth.
- Act as the key point of contact for other Forvis Mazars firms when identifying VAT opportunities in Financial Services and partnering with other UK service lines.
- Play an active role in shaping the FM Financial Services VAT marketing strategy and positioning yourself as a sector expert—both internally and externally.

About the Role
You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality technical advice across:
- A diverse range of financial services and insurance clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting business development and broader team management across VAT assignments.
- Leading and refining the national sector strategy for FM Financial Services VAT.
- Developing market intelligence and sector expertise to identify and seize new client opportunities and proposals.
- Leveraging a strong external network—targeting existing clients, coveted prospects, and key stakeholders—with a focus on nurturing long-term stakeholder relationships.
- Activating proposal documents and contributing to client win conversions.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Multiple years of relevant experience in advising on VAT within the Financial Services sector.
- A proven track record of influential business development and team leadership.
- Deep operational and technical knowledge of the Financial Services sector, its financial incentives, and key market players.
- Sharply honed oral and written communication skills, with an ability to present complex VAT strategies effectively.
- Project management expertise, with the capability to manage demanding timetables.
- A track record of repeatable client engagement, founded on trust, collaboration, and added value.
