Indirect Tax Data Analyst

24 months contract

The candidate is expected to attend at least 3 days/week in the office

Key job responsibilities

  • Support indirect tax colleagues with data requests, data questions and/or extracting data on their behalf, where standard reports do not meet the requirements.
  • Manage and deliver data analytics projects.
  • Improve existing processes by automating and reducing manual work.
  • Collaborate with our technology partners to investigate issues in the data warehouse data pipelines and support technology upgrades, migrations, etc.
  • Hands-on detailed data research and analysis of a large financial data set; investigate, troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues.
  • Implement projects to optimize data operations.

Basic qualifications

  • Relevant work experience in analytics, financial systems, data engineering or business intelligence.
  • Solid experience using SQL, ETL and databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
  • Familiar with indirect tax concepts and accounting processes.
  • Experience communicating analytical outcomes to both business and technical teams.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with GenAI tools to improve and automate processes
  • Knowledge in other programming languages such as Python.
  • Familiarity with solutions such as AWS, EC2, S3, Redshift.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, using industry standard business intelligence tool(s) to extract data, formulate metrics and build reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
