About the Role
This role sits within KPMG's Tax & Legal capability, which helps organisations manage risk, navigate regulatory change and identify opportunities for growth through specialist tax and legal advice. As a Manager in the North Indirect Tax team, you will deliver high-quality advisory services across a broad range of indirect tax matters while supporting the continued growth of the practice.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality indirect tax advisory services across VAT, Customs Duty and green tax matters for a varied client portfolio.
- Provide clear, practical advice on technical indirect tax issues and support clients in managing risk and compliance obligations.
- Work collaboratively with client service teams to deliver integrated solutions and positive client outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted day-to-day contact for allocated clients.
- Identify and support the development of indirect tax opportunities and contribute to their successful delivery.
- Manage multiple assignments effectively, ensuring work is delivered to a high professional standard.
- Delegate work appropriately and support the development of junior team members through coaching and feedback.
- Collaborate with Senior Managers and Directors to contribute to team growth and continuous improvement.

- Strong technical and advisory experience in VAT and indirect tax.
- Ability to research technical matters and apply sound professional judgement.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret information and provide practical solutions.
- Experience building and maintaining effective client and stakeholder relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a range of audiences.
- Experience working collaboratively within teams and supporting the development of junior colleagues.
