About the Company
A large, global payments organisation with operations spanning multiple regions and jurisdictions. The business is going through a period of commercial and operational integration, and is looking for an experienced indirect tax professional to provide cover across a genuinely broad EMEA remit during this period.
The Role
This is a fixed-term contract covering an existing Indirect Tax Manager, with responsibility for indirect tax compliance across EMEA. You'll manage relationships with external compliance service providers, review indirect tax returns prepared by external providers and in-house tax accountants, and manage and coach two Pune-based in-house tax accountants directly. Alongside compliance, you'll partner across the business, supporting commercial developments, tax audits and ongoing integration workstreams, giving genuine variety and real influence within a fast-moving international finance function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
