Indirect Tax Manager (In-House, Advisory Focused)

My client is a highly regarded international professional services organisation with a strong global presence and an excellent reputation within its sector. They are currently looking to hire an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to join their in-house finance function based in Newcastle.

This is a predominantly advisory-focused role that will take ownership of the organisation's indirect tax function across both UK and international operations. Reporting directly to the Head of International Tax, you will play a key role in shaping tax processes, supporting strategic business initiatives, and providing specialist VAT and indirect tax guidance across a diverse stakeholder group.

The Role

As the Indirect Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing commercially focused indirect tax advice to the business while ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant UK and international tax regulations. Working closely with senior finance leaders and key stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions, you will act as the primary point of contact for indirect tax matters and contribute to various strategic projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
