What You'll Do
- Review and approve VAT, GST, and US Sales and Use Tax returns prepared for filing across multiple jurisdictions
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support quarterly submissions
- Prepare and review journal entries, cash entries, and payment requests
- Maintain and update taxability rules and tax determination logic within Vertex to ensure accurate, ongoing tax calculation across jurisdictions
- Develop macros and automation workflows, including the use of AI tools, to support and standardise indirect tax processes
- Support ERP system testing and deployment, including our transition to Oracle Fusion
- Maintain the global indirect tax calendar and task matrix for all compliance duties and deadlines
- Maintain and monitor existing indirect tax registrations across relevant global jurisdictions, including US states
- Respond to questions and issues from business units and functional groups
- Review and approve responses to governmental VAT, GST, and US sales tax audits as they arise
- Determine the tax classification of new product SKUs and maintain accurate tax codes within our ERP and tax engine (Vertex)

Required Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in indirect tax, preferably within an international business environment, with a strong background in tax accounting
- A professional tax or accounting qualification (such as ATT, CTA, ACA, or ACCA) is preferred but not required
- A degree in a related discipline is preferred but not required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Fusion or a similar ERP system
- Experience with Vertex or a similar tax determination engine
- Experience automating processes and using AI tools to improve the efficiency and accuracy of indirect tax workflows
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to work independently
- Superb attention to detail, with strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and deliver to a high standard in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and build relationships across business units and functional groups
Compensation
Compensation for this position will be determined based on factors including geographic location, local market conditions, skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Mobility Global is committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation aligned with local market practices.
