We are looking for an Individual Rights Administrator to join our Information Governance Team. This rewarding role is at the heart of ensuring individuals can exercise their rights under data protection legislation while helping the organisation meet its legal and regulatory obligations.
You will play a key role in managing requests for access to information, liaising with patients, staff, solicitors and other external stakeholders, and ensuring records are processed accurately, securely and within statutory timescales.
As an Individual Rights Administrator, you will support the administration of individual rights requests and help maintain compliance with UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, Access to Health Records legislation, Caldicott Principles and NHS confidentiality requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with information, managing complex administrative processes, and delivering excellent service to patients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, process and manage individual rights requests within statutory deadlines.
- Verify applicant identity and assess requests to ensure they are valid and lawful.
- Identify, retrieve and collate records from multiple electronic and paper-based systems for disclosure.
- Liaise with clinical services and healthcare professionals to support the review and release of records where appropriate.
- Respond to enquiries from patients, relatives, solicitors, police and internal stakeholders in a professional and confidential manner.
- Maintain accurate and auditable records of all requests, decisions and disclosures.
- Ensure information is transferred securely and in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
- Support the review and maintenance of Information Governance policies and procedures.
- Promote good Information Governance practice across the organisation

We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
