Individual Support Worker

Casual

📍 Location: Newcastle Region - Travel involved

🚗 Must have a full NSW Drivers Licence and Full Comprehensive Insurance
🧡 Personal care is required and you must be confident providing it
🌘 Friday with full availability

Make a real impact

As a Support Worker with Lifestyle Solutions, you will help customers build independence at home and in their community. If you are caring, reliable, and motivated to support others, we would love to hear from you.

What you will be doing 🫶

  • Supporting daily living skills including cooking, domestic tasks, and social skills
  • Providing personal care including showering, toileting, feeding, and dressing
  • Mentoring customers to explore interests, hobbies, and cultural activities
  • Assisting with community participation and recreation programs
  • Administering medication safely and following individual support plans
  • Completing clear and factual handover notes and incident reports
  • Offering support in the home and the community
  • Using diabetes knowledge and PEG feeding skills if required (training ideal)

What you will bring 💼

  • Availability for split shifts (short shifts, or long shifts)
  • Strong communication skills with verbal and non-verbal customers
  • Strong computer skills are essential for daily documentation, reporting, and communication
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
  • Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID003
  • Qualifications in Disability or Community Services are an advantage
