Indoor Account Manager – Permanent / 37.5 Hours Per Week
About the Role

This busy, fast-paced role within a £2bn+ turnover business requires an experienced Account Manager to proactively manage a portfolio of ~800 customers—each spending up to £700/week—and drive revenue growth through exceptional customer relationships.
As the Indoor Account Manager, your duty extends beyond standard service delivery. You’ll develop strategic account plans, upsell opportunities, and resolve high-value customer issues to lock in long-term retention. Collaboration with internal sales teams and cross-functional partners is crucial for sustaining profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship & Retention
- Proactively engage customers via phone, email, and digital meetings to align with DPD’s contact matrix.
- Cultivate long-term business relationships across multi-tiered organisations by delivering tailored account plans to meet revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate customer records in SalesForce and other systems used within the business.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Identify and exploit upselling/cross-selling opportunities within your customer portfolio (and associated networks).
- Build and manage a revenue opportunity pipeline to sustain contribution targets.
- Drive annual price adjustments for all managed accounts to optimise profitability.

Problem Resolution & Health Monitoring
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for each account and ensure trading within acceptable profitability thresholds.
- Act as escalation point for resolving customer issues to secure retention.
- Coordinate account handover transitions with the sales teams, adhering to company policies.

Essential Competencies
- Think strategically and act decisively in pressured environments.

- Self-organising focus, with keen attention to detail across all assignments.
- IT-literate in Microsoft Office/Google Suite, and ideally SalesForce.
