Indoor Account Manager – Permanent / 37.5 Hours Per Week

About the Role

Join DPD, the UK’s leading sustainable delivery company, as we strive to enhance our customers’ service standards while prioritising sustainability, inclusivity, and ethical operations.

This busy, fast-paced role within a £2bn+ turnover business requires an experienced Account Manager to proactively manage a portfolio of ~800 customers—each spending up to £700/week—and drive revenue growth through exceptional customer relationships.

As the Indoor Account Manager, your duty extends beyond standard service delivery. You’ll develop strategic account plans, upsell opportunities, and resolve high-value customer issues to lock in long-term retention. Collaboration with internal sales teams and cross-functional partners is crucial for sustaining profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Relationship & Retention

  • Proactively engage customers via phone, email, and digital meetings to align with DPD’s contact matrix.
  • Cultivate long-term business relationships across multi-tiered organisations by delivering tailored account plans to meet revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate customer records in SalesForce and other systems used within the business.

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Identify and exploit upselling/cross-selling opportunities within your customer portfolio (and associated networks).
  • Build and manage a revenue opportunity pipeline to sustain contribution targets.
  • Drive annual price adjustments for all managed accounts to optimise profitability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
