Industrial Assistant Supervisor
Location: Torness Power Station
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Competitive + benefits package
The Opportunity
Dalkia is looking for a motivated and experienced Industrial Assistant Supervisor to join our team at Torness Power Station.
This is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your industrial career, supporting the day-to-day delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality services across a critical site environment.
Working closely with the Supervisor and wider management team, you'll help coordinate a team of operatives, maintain high standards of safety and performance, and support the successful delivery of industrial cleaning activities across the station.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Supervisor with the day-to-day coordination and management of industrial operatives.
- Lead, motivate and support team members to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
- Assist with planning and allocating daily workloads.
- Oversee industrial cleaning activities across the station, including pumps, tanks, pressure washing and general site cleanliness.
- Assist with the preparation and review of risk assessments and RAMS.
- Carry out workplace inspections, audits and compliance checks.
- Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and safety communications.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company, site and Health & Safety requirements.
- Monitor standards of work, housekeeping and safe working practices, addressing issues and escalating where appropriate.
- Identify and support opportunities for continuous improvement across the station.
- Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience working in an industrial environment.
- Experience in industrial cleaning or a similar environment is desirable.
- Strong communication, leadership and people skills.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
- Confidence working with colleagues, management and client representatives.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team while taking responsibility for delivering high standards.
