Account Manager for Industrial Automation Services
About the Role
As an Account Manager for Industrial Automation Services, you will be responsible for managing relationships with both existing and new clients to drive sales growth by becoming a trusted advisor who understands their technical needs and offers to develop tailored solutions for efficiency and productivity in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead direct sales of Schneider Electric's Industrial Automation offer to both existing and new clients, focusing on high-impact service solutions.
- Drive growth in service sales pursuits by promoting cross-team collaboration and technical understanding across multiple segments.
- Act as a specialist point of contact to support other Account Managers to help them understand, manage, and win automation service & solution opportunities.
- Build and nurture long-term customer partnerships—understanding their needs, resolving issues, and delivering value-added solutions that support their goals.
- Identify and develop new opportunities through lead generation, risk analysis, and compelling, timely proposal submissions aligned with Schneider's IMPACT values.
- Achieve service sales targets with a structured, data-driven approach.
- Translate Schneider's Industrial Automation service solutions clearly and confidently, including delivery timelines, commercial terms, and technical capabilities.
- Identify and lead initiatives to generate growth and enable more diverse solutions with a focus on the latest technology and open automation.
- Actively contribute to the negotiation of key contracts, ensuring alignment with customer needs and Schneider's commercial strategy.
Skills & Experience
- Ability to evaluate customer potential and to target customers (penetration, attractiveness, accessibility), in order to best allocate resources, verify opportunities, and build customer action/business plans.
- Customer Application Knowledge: Ability to understand the customer's technical and application needs, in order to promote the appropriate SE offer that meets the customer requirements.
- Consultative & Solution Business: Ability to understand all processes and behaviors from the tender up to the offer and delivery of automation services and solutions.
- Ideally, a technical background in Industrial Automation, self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and together with a highly matrixed Sales and Offer Marketing Team.
- With a passion for digitization, sustainability, technology, and innovation, you will take a keen interest in keeping up to date with the latest trends in the market and the key challenges that your customers face and need solutions for.
- Possess strong business acumen and excellent communication skills, with a hunger to succeed in a high-profile sales position.
