We're looking for a driven, relationship-focused sales professional to help grow our Industrial & Commercial customer base. If you're an experienced B2B salesperson who enjoys winning new business and developing opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.
Experience in the energy or utilities sector isn't essential. If you've been successful in any B2B sales environment and a passion for technical sales, we'll provide the industry knowledge and support you need to succeed.
We deliver safety, warmth, and comfort to homes and businesses. Every role, whether in the office or on the front line, plays a key part in this mission. Here’s how you will contribute…
- Identify market opportunities and develop plans to grow Evolve's presence in the commercial sector.
- Maximise sales opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, including calls, meetings, presentations, sales, and follow-up actions utilising the Evolve CRM system.
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients through referrals, cold calling, networking, email, direct mail, and other business development activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to generate referrals and repeat business.
- Build and manage relationships with government departments and other key stakeholders to support business growth.
- Build strong relationships with clients at both middle and senior management level, ensuring excellent customer service and high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with Key Account Managers and other gas industry professionals to maximise commercial revenue.
- Support the Business Development Manager in identifying and progressing opportunities with large industrial customers.
- Provide weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to the Business Development Manager.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
