Industrial Data & Software Engineer

Are you passionate about data, software, and smart manufacturing?

Thales is looking for an Industrial Data & Software Engineer to develop data-driven solutions that improve manufacturing performance and help shape our Industry 4.0 future.

What you’ll do

  • Build and automate data pipelines and ETL workflows using tools such as Node-RED.
  • Design and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases for industrial data.
  • Develop dashboards and analytics to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Use Python, JavaScript, and statistical analysis to identify inefficiencies and support process improvement.
  • Support IoT, machine monitoring, smart tooling, and predictive maintenance solutions.
  • Work with engineering and operational teams to take solutions from requirements through to deployment.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong Python and JavaScript programming skills.
  • Experience building data pipelines and ETL solutions.
  • SQL and NoSQL database experience.
  • Statistical analysis experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Linux/Unix experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A relevant technical degree, such as Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical & Electronic Engineering.

Desirable

Experience with MQTT, OPC UA, TCP/IP, machine learning/AI, C++, Digital Twins, MATLAB, Minitab, Simulink, WITNESS, or Lean Six Sigma would be an advantage.
