Industrial Door Installers

South Wales | Permanent

£37,455 - £39,520 per annum dependent on experience - negotiable

Bridgestaff Group are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing specialist within the industrial door sector. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Industrial Door Installers to join a professional installation team delivering projects nationwide.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience installing manual and electrically operated rolling and folding steel shutters and doors, working across commercial, industrial, and construction environments.

Key Duties

  • Installation of manual and electrically operated rolling and folding steel shutter doors.
  • Working safely on construction sites and within commercial and industrial settings.
  • Travelling to customer sites across the UK.
  • Attending site inductions and complying with site-specific procedures.
  • Reading and interpreting general arrangement drawings.
  • Setting out works from site datums and installation specifications.
  • Measuring, drilling, and fixing into supporting structures.
  • Safe use of chain hoists, genie lifts, mobile scaffold towers, and MEWPs.
  • Completing Point of Work Risk Assessments.
  • Following project-specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Carrying out testing and quality checks following installation.
  • Demonstrating completed products to customers and completing handover documentation.
  • Ensuring work areas remain safe and secure at all times.
  • Managing PPE, tools, plant, and equipment correctly.

Working Hours

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
  • Friday: 7:30am - 3:30pm

Please note:

  • Paid travel time is provided where applicable.
  • Participation in a call-out rota may be required.
  • Occasional weekend work may be required.
  • Overnight stays may be necessary depending on project location.

Essential Skills Required

  • Proven mechanical installation experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to read technical drawings and accurately set out installations

Desirable Skills Required

  • Previous experience within the Industrial Door Industry
  • Electrical installation experience
  • IPAF
  • CSCS
  • PASMA
