We are currently recruiting for an Electrician to join a growing Electrical Engineering firm in Ipswich, Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide range of industrial projects within a company that has over 100 years of engineering excellence.
Though this is a field service role, this is limited to the East Anglian region only.
This role is ideal for someone with strong industrial installation experience, leadership capability, and the ability to manage complex electrical projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out industrial electrical installations, upgrades, and maintenance work
- Lead and support jobs across a variety of environments
- Conduct inspection, testing, and fault-finding activities
- Work on LV installations, lighting systems, fire alarms, and control systems
- Support installation and commissioning of EV charge points and switchboards
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to deliver projects safely and efficiently
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and Health & Safety standards
- Maintain high standards and documentation throughout projects

About You
- Proven experience as an Electrician or Electrical Engineer
- Strong background in industrial installations
- 18th Edition qualification (BS7671) essential
- C&G 2391-01 Inspection & Testing qualification required
- Previous experience leading jobs or supervising teams
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team

Desirable Experience
- Experience with process control systems, COMPEX, or power quality monitoring
- Knowledge of control panels and switchboards
