This position reports to:

Quality Manager


In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labour hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

Work model: onsite in Leeds

  • Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive productivity, quality, and cost improvements.
  • Analyse and optimise manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities to reduce waste, improve throughput, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct data analysis, process mapping, and root cause investigations to support informed decision-making and sustainable improvements.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing development of SAP S/4HANA manufacturing processes, ensuring data accuracy and effective system utilisation.
  • Maintain and improve manufacturing master data, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and production structures.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality teams to deliver operational and business improvement initiatives.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering changes, and manufacturing feasibility assessments, ensuring successful integration into production.
  • Promote operational excellence and best practice, coaching colleagues and supporting the adoption of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Support capacity planning, resource optimisation, and manufacturing cost reduction initiatives to improve overall operational performance.
  • Drive improvements in manufacturing data quality, reporting, and business systems, helping to ensure accurate decision-making and effective production planning.

Qualifications For The Role

  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to drive productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost reductions across manufacturing operations.
  • Analyse and optimise manufacturing processes using Lean Manufacturing principles and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Support SAP manufacturing processes, including master data, BOMs, routings, and operational improvements.
  • Contribute to ERP and SAP S/4HANA projects, ensuring effective implementation and adoption across the business.
  • Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance to deliver business improvement projects.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce waste and improve operational performance through data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide support for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change activities, ensuring smooth integration into manufacturing.
  • Use data analysis and reporting tools to monitor performance, identify trends, and deliver measurable improvements.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and collaboration, influencing teams to adopt best practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Support business resilience through cross-functional working and knowledge sharing, helping to build capability across the wider organisation.
  • Undertake structured cross-training across key business processes, providing resilience and continuity support in areas such as product certification, compliance, trade compliance, SAP master data, and product costing when required.
