Dynamic Doors Ltd is a specialist security solutions provider covering reactive calls, repairs, maintenance, and new installations for over 800 contracts across London and the Southeast. The company serves a diverse client base including offices, hospitals, restaurants, shopping centres, retail locations, and other commercial properties. Dynamic Doors Ltd focuses on a wide range of security products, such as industrial doors, fire roller shutters, roller shutters, and rising bollards. The team also installs and maintains manual and automatic doors, gates, rising arm barriers, manual swing barriers, and other access control systems. Dynamic Doors Ltd offers technical expertise and responsive service to help clients maintain safe, secure, and reliable entry systems.
Role Description
The Industrial Gate Engineer role is a full-time remote position responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of manual and automatic gates, rising arm barriers, and related access control equipment. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Diagnosing faults
- Performing routine and reactive service visits
- Completing planned maintenance
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety and industry standards

The engineer will work closely with the scheduling and support teams to:
- Manage remote work orders
- Document service reports
- Communicate clearly with clients about required repairs and system upgrades
The role also involves:
- Advising customers on optimal gate and barrier solutions
- Supporting new project installations
- Maintaining accurate records of parts, tools, and equipment used
Collaboration with colleagues and adherence to company procedures and health and safety policies are essential.
Qualifications
- Practical experience with installation, fault-finding, and maintenance of industrial gates, barriers, and access control systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including safe use of tools, basic wiring, and understanding of motors, sensors, and control panels.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, standards, and best practices for industrial doors, gates, and automated systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics for gates and related equipment.
- Good communication skills for remote coordination with the office team and clear, professional interaction with clients.
- Proficient in using digital devices and software for remote job management, reporting, and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Full, valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
- Previous experience in industrial doors, roller shutters, or similar security and access systems is an advantage.
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g., in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related trade) preferred.
