What you'll do
As a member of our 12-month Mechanical Design Industrial Placement Programme, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on live customer projects from day one.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Contribute to the design and development of components and assemblies for electric propulsion products
- Produce and modify 3D CAD models, 2D engineering drawings, and supporting technical documentation
- Support projects from requirements and concept development through to manufacture, testing, and verification
- Assist with material selection, design for manufacture, and prototype build activities
- Contribute to design reviews, DFMEAs, development testing, and technical investigations
- Receive mentoring and support throughout the programme

What we're looking for
We're looking for motivated students who:
- Are studying Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Need to complete an industrial placement year as part of their course
- Have a good understanding of fundamental engineering principles and an interest in product development
- Have some experience using a 3D CAD package such as Siemens NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks
- Are practical, analytical, collaborative, and eager to learn
