What matters most in an industrial security role is your strong situational awareness, attention to detail, and ability to stay alert in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to identify potential risks, respond to incidents, and maintain a safe and secure site is what makes you an important part of the team.
As an Industrial Security Guard, you will help protect people, property, equipment, and operations across industrial environments such as manufacturing facilities, warehouses, construction sites, distribution centres, parking areas, and gatehouses. You will conduct patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and identify security concerns before they escalate.

Responsibilities for Industrial Security Guard
- Monitor the industrial site, perimeter, and access points for suspicious or unauthorized activity
- Respond quickly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and potential threats
- Document all incidents, observations, and unusual activity through detailed security reports
- Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and designated areas
- Control access to the site by verifying employee, contractor, visitor, and delivery credentials
- Monitor gates, entrances, exits, and other restricted areas to prevent unauthorized access
- Identify and report safety, security, equipment, or site-related concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain a visible security presence and help ensure compliance with site policies and procedures
- Work closely with site management, emergency services, and law enforcement when required
- Respond to alarms, access-control issues, and other security-related calls in accordance with site procedures

Qualifications for Industrial Security Guard
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid BC security license
- First aid certification - an asset
- Reliable transportation
- Strong report writing skills
- Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
- Strong proficiency with technology
- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
