Industrial Services Operative
Location: Peterhead
Type: Permanent
The Role
Will encompass but will not be limited to the industrial cleaning of various tanks, vessels, silos, and pits for a large client base. Some travel will be required to service the clients that make the request.
Roles & Responsibilities
General
- To engage all external and internal customers by communicating in a friendly and professional manner ensuring that they are left with a lasting positive impression of our service.
- Identify best jets or methods for cleaning a wide range of heavy industrial plants operations. Using business-supplied technology, equipment, and vehicles to provide industrial services and waste management to the business client base.
- To act and operate in a safe and professional manner in order to safeguard the health and safety of oneself along with that of any others (colleagues, contractors, visitors, and customers alike).
- Deliver the customer's expectations on the service requested, which will include the use of existing and new technologies.
- Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety, Quality Management ensuring that formal procedures, standing instructions, and safety standards are complied with at all times.
- Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner, in accordance with HSSEQ procedures.
- Some time working away may be required.
- Carry out ad-hoc duties as required by the business within your capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence
- IOSH Working Safely
- High Pressure Water Jetting certificate
- Confined Space and Rescue
- Working at height awareness
- Manual Handling
- COSHH awareness

- Ability to work as part of a team
- Customer focused
- Flexible and with the ability to work under pressure
- Operationally aware
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritise, and organise workloads
- Excellent attention to detail
- Reliable, trustworthy, and self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative

Desirable Qualifications/Competencies
- Strong knowledge of the maintenance of high pressure water jetting and large industrial vacuum plants.
- Class C1E and Class CE Licence
- First Aid training
HSSEQ
- In partnership with the HSSEQ department, ensure the continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance and compliance to all laws, regulations, and industry standards/codes.
- Reports all incidents or breaches of policy or regulations to the line manager.
- Fully endorse the ASCO 'Stop the Job' policy and commitment to proactive intervention where an unsafe act or condition is observed.
- Adherence to the ASCO's integrated management system ensuring document control and improvements to key processes are maintained.
