Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our client's manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating industrial sewing machines and possess a keen eye for detail to produce high-quality products. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within a dynamic environment, contributing to the production of durable and precise sewn goods. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with previous sewing or warehouse experience who are committed to maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.

Duties

  • Operate various types of industrial sewing machines to assemble and finish products according to specifications
  • Ensure consistent quality by inspecting finished work for defects or irregularities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot sewing equipment, performing basic repairs when necessary
  • Follow production schedules and meet daily output targets while adhering to safety standards
  • Assist in organising materials and supplies within the workspace for efficient workflow
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, complying with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency

  • Proven experience in sewing, preferably with industrial sewing machines
  • Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship
  • Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Capable of working independently as well as part of a team
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for sewing equipment maintenance

Working schedule

Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30
