Ready to impact a better future?

As an Industrial Skills Tutor in our Custodial team, you’ll use your experience in one of these areas to help people in prison develop practical, gain qualifications and prepare for a positive future beyond the prison gates.

You don’t need to be an expert across all three areas – we’re looking for someone with relevant experience in warehousing, who can share their knowledge and help learners build skills that can lead to employment.

Your work will play an important role in rehabilitation and reducing reoffending. By giving people the skills, qualifications, confidence and work-ready behaviours they need to build a career after release, you’ll help create genuine opportunities for a different future.

Through practical, engaging and inclusive teaching, you’ll support learners to recognise their potential, make positive progress and take important steps towards a life away from crime.

What you’ll do as an Industrial Skills Tutor

You’ll be entrusted to:

  • Deliver engaging, practical learning across vocational disciplines, embedding employability, functional skills, and British Values throughout.
  • Create and maintain Individual Learning Plans and closely track learner progress and achievement.
  • Design schemes of work, lesson plans and “rollon, rolloff” programmes that respond to a changing learner population.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring learning materials and resources remain current and effective.
  • Administer assessments, marking and accreditation processes in line with awarding requirements.
  • Provide pastoral support as a Personal Tutor, helping learners build confidence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours.
  • Maintain safe, inclusive and motivating learning environments that follow all security and safeguarding protocols.
  • Keep accurate learner records, registers and documentation to support compliance and quality assurance.
  • Work collaboratively with education managers, vocational supervisors and colleagues to deliver a cohesive and supportive learner experience.
  • Promote vocational programmes and engage with internal and external partners to raise awareness and opportunity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
