About The Role
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in applied chemistry within a global company. Starting in August 2027, you’ll work alongside experienced scientists for 1 year to develop innovative inkjet formulations that meet both customer and business needs. This placement will provide valuable insight into industrial research and development while building your technical and professional skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with a team of scientists on formulation, testing, and experimental work using established test methods.
- Applying scientific rigor to compile, analyse, and interpret experimental data.
- Preparing clear reports and presenting findings at team meetings.
- Providing day-to-day support to the laboratory team.
- Maintaining a safe, organised, and well-kept laboratory environment.
- Following company health, safety, and environmental policies at all times.

About You
You are a proactive and enthusiastic student with a strong interest in hands-on laboratory work. Organised, detail-oriented, and analytical, you approach challenges with a results-driven mindset and can communicate your ideas clearly in writing and in person.

Requirements
- Studying towards a degree in Chemistry or a related science.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory practice and chemical handling.
- Solid theoretical understanding of chemistry.
- Good problem-solving skills.
