Industrialisation Engineer – Manufacturing
About the Role
The Industrialisation Engineer – Manufacturing will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising manufacturing processes and systems for GE Vernova’s power electronics products, supporting global HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) projects.
As a key expert in manufacturing processes, you will work within the SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) framework, contributing to annual production improvements by leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance:
- Safety
- Production efficiency

- Manufacturing operations

This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards while delivering products that exceed customer expectations. With growing demands, efficiency, safety, and quality will be pivotal in achieving business targets—driven by Continuous Improvement and Lean methods to minimise downtime.
Located in a fast-paced environment, this position requires a blend of technical expertise,OUND communication, and the ability to navigate cross-functional stakeholder relationships (including Production, Quality, Procurement, and Engineering/NPI).
Key Responsibilities
New Product Introduction & Change Implementation
- Support the industrialisation of new products and product changes
- Coordinate the implementation of new designs, variants, and process changes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and production readiness
Manufacturing Process & Equipment Development
- Capture production requirements for:
- Procurement of production equipment
- Material handling systems
- Define manufacturing build strategies in collaboration with engineering teams
- Specify, design, purchase, install, and commission manufacturing equipment
- Work closely with suppliers to develop effective solutions
- Lead manufacturing projects from start to completion
- Manage timelines, budgets, and resources

Cross-Functional Coordination
- Participate in Design for Manufacture and PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
- Resolve issues across:
- Engineering
- Operations
- Quality
- Supply Chain
- Align with NPI (New Product Introduction) and CI (Continuous Improvement) milestones
- Support supplier onboarding for NPI projects
Documentation, Training & Business Systems
- Create and maintain critical manufacturing documentation:
- Work instructions
- Risk assessments
- Management of Change (MoC) documentation
- Operator training materials
- Support setup and ongoing use of:
- Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Equipment software
- Ensure proper review, approval, and communication of procedural changes
Continuous Improvement & Efficiency
- Develop strategies to:
- Reduce waste
- Improve process performance
- Enhance manufacturing efficiency
- Apply Lean methodologies to drive improvements
- Identify productivity, flow, quality, and utilisation opportunities
- Troubleshoot technical and process issues to optimise:
- Quality
- Safety
- Efficiency
About You
You’ll blend a strong educational foundation, moderation communication skills, and practical manufacturing experience. A willingness to learn is paramount.
Experience in assembly, testing (automated or manual), and maintenance strategies (e.g., Reliability-Centered Maintenance) is highly valued.

Skills & Experience Required
Core Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Mechatronics (or a related field)
- Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment, with specific knowledge of:
- Product assembly
- Testing requirements
- Hands-on experience with:
- Automated assembly equipment
- Process design involving Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
- Overheads Efficiency (OEE) improvement
- Proficiency in:
- PFMEA
- Design for Manufacture (DFM)
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues
- Strong interpersonal communication with willingness to share expertise

Technical/Industry Advantages
- Familiarity with SAP (full support training provided)
- Knowledge of:
- Lean manufacturing
- HVDC product testing
- Industry standards—especially:
- ISO 9001 (Quality Management)
- ISO 14001 (Environmental)
- (ISO 45001 or equivalent preferred, for OHSAS integration)
- Experience in concept-through-operation workflows
- Process development in new product implementation

Working Pattern
- Standard: 9-to-5 (Monday–Friday) on-site
- Flexibility: Opportunities for:
- Shift work/bring-in hours
- Weekend coverage (if required to support manufacturing goals)
- Occasional travel to site offices or supplier locations
