🚨 HIRING: Industrialisation Engineer – Contract | Stafford

We’re currently recruiting for an Industrialisation Engineer to join a major engineering and manufacturing organisation in Stafford.

This is a hands-on manufacturing engineering role focused primarily on the transfer of manufacturing capability between the Stafford and India facilities, alongside supporting NPI, continuous improvement and equipment industrialisation at site.

📍 Location: Stafford, ST16
💷 Rate: Competitive rate
⏰ Hours: Monday–Thursday 8am–4pm | Friday 8am–1pm
🏭 Working: Predominantly onsite
✈️ Travel: International travel required, particularly to India
📄 Contract: Initial 6-month contract, with potential for permanent employment

As the Industrialisation Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the technical delivery of manufacturing/production transfers between Stafford and the India facility.
  • Coordinate the relocation and installation of production equipment.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes, documentation and technical knowledge are successfully transferred.
  • Support NPI and Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities.
  • Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage production equipment through specification, procurement, installation and commissioning.
  • Support automation, robotics and manufacturing process improvements.
  • Work closely with international manufacturing teams, operators, engineers and project stakeholders.
  • Support production ramp-up and ensure projects meet Safety, Quality, Cost and Compliance requirements.

You should have hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly and/or test environments, ideally involving electromechanical products.

Experience with the following would be highly advantageous:

  • Manufacturing or production transfers
  • NPI
  • Lean / Kaizen / Value Stream Mapping
  • Automation and robotics
  • PLCs, particularly Mitsubishi
  • Production equipment installation and commissioning
  • FAT/SAT
  • CAD
  • MES / industrial IT networking
  • Desoutter tightening tools
  • Dalmec lifting/handling systems

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who has personally delivered manufacturing or production changes, rather than someone whose experience is purely project-management focused.
