Industrialisation Engineer

NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for an Industrialisation Engineer for our client, who are a global, industry leader in Power Technology.

Location: Stafford
Duration: 6-month initial contract
Shifts: 8:00-16:00 Mon-Thurs, 8:00-13:00 Friday

Role Summary

The Industrialisation Engineer will primarily lead the global transfer of manufacturing capabilities from the Stafford site to our facility in India. Secondarily, this role will provide critical support to the Stafford site, focusing on industrialization, continuous improvement, and product development initiatives to ensure seamless NPI and efficiency gains while ensuring all projects meet strict standards for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Compliance.

Responsibilities

Primary: Manufacturing Transfer (Stafford to India)

  • Lead the project management and technical execution of transferring production capabilities to the India site.
  • Oversee the physical relocation of equipment, ensuring all Safety, Quality, Cost, and Compliance standards are met.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the international manufacturing teams and Stafford to complete the knowledge transfer.

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) within the Stafford facility to ensure design-for-manufacturing (DFM) excellence.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives using Lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of production equipment—from strategy and procurement to specification, installation, and commissioning.

Travel Requirement

The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel internationally to support the transfer of product manufacturing and the commissioning of production equipment.

Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Proven experience leading technical projects in a manufacturing environment, specifically with assembly and test processes for electronic/mechanical products.
  • Priority management: Ability to balance shifting priorities between project-based transfers and site-based operational support.
  • Project Skills: Strong project management, facilitation, and team-leading abilities.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive, results-driven approach.
  • Technical Systems: Practical experience with CAD software, Mitsubishi PLC programming, Dalmec lifting/handling systems, and Desoutter tightening tools.
  • Systems & IT: Understanding of industrial IT networking and manufacturing execution systems is considered highly advantageous.
  • Compliance: Deep understanding of EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) protocols and safe working practices.
