As part of Swift’s Corporate Office, you will join the Industry Engagement team and work closely with senior industry experts to support our global engagement with standard setting bodies, market infrastructures, and industry associations that shape and drive the global financial ecosystem.
We are seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic team player who is serious about developing real-world experience in the payments and financial services industry.

You will be curious, analytical, eager to learn about emerging challenges and opportunities, and proactive in contributing across all aspects of the team’s work.
This internship will give you a solid understanding of the critical role Swift plays in global finance and exposure to fast-moving developments shaping the future of the industry. You will develop both soft and hard skills, undertake analysis on topical issues, and have opportunities to present insights to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Industry Research Desk
- Research assistance: Investigate industry topics that impact Swift and its community, including analysis of market trends, competitive developments, and key industry initiatives.
- Market monitoring: Follow industry commentary, publications, and regulatory updates; produce concise, actionable summaries.
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis: Conduct deeper analytical dives into emerging topics.
Supporting Regional & Sectoral Industry Engagement Leads
- Meetings & briefing notes: Draft and prepare meeting minutes, briefings, and supporting documents for senior management engagements.
- Documentation management: Maintain core reporting materials and tracking documentation used for senior-level updates.
- Planning & coordination: Support stakeholder mapping, engagement trackers, and cross-team collaboration efforts to ensure alignment across regions and sectors.
Additional Opportunities
- Conduct your own research and engagement projects in collaboration with subject matter experts across Swift.
- Shadow internal and external meetings to deepen your understanding of Swift’s strategy, the financial services landscape, and emerging industry trends — including responsible innovation.

Requirements & Skills
Technical & Professional Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Awareness of Swift, our mission, and the importance of our role in global financial services.
Soft Skills
- Strong team player with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Creative, inquisitive, and curious about real-world financial services and payments issues.
- Organised, pragmatic, and a proactive self-starter.
