MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 12 years of experience in advertising sales, digital marketing, consulting, or media.
- 6 years of experience in people management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A commercial mindset, grounded in how real businesses grow and adapt.
- Curiosity about AI, technology, and the future of consumer behavior.
- A strong finisher, a steady hand, and a people-first leader.
- Fluency in the digital advertising ecosystem, including how platforms like Google, YouTube, and others enable growth through AI-powered, data-driven solutions.

As Industry Head of Retail at Google UKI, you will join a leadership team for a sector representing 5.7% of UK GDP. As AI transforms how people shop, you will help the UK’s largest, most sophisticated retailers grow and transform, leveraging smarter Search and YouTube’s virtual storefront. You will navigate granular detail and strategic goals effortlessly, create clarity, and build trust.
Google's Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams are strategic partners and industry thought leaders to the world's leading brands and agencies. We continuously challenge how customers think about their business and how Google can support growth. We focus on helping these players navigate profound industry shifts and drive outsized business performance by competitively selling Google's full suite of advertising solutions across Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more. As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a team of industry managers, setting the direction and raising the bar.
- Own relationships with the UK’s largest retail brands, including global accounts with C-suite engagement, advocating for AI-powered solutions across Google ecosystems including Search and YouTube, and guiding clients through transformation to help them rewire for growth in the AI era with courage and clarity.
- Lead forecasting, business reviews, and commercial rhythm, driving performance and visibility across the organization, and turning strategy into real-world results with clear operating plans and accountability.
- Collaborate closely with Cloud, Commerce, Measurement, and Product teams to bring integrated solutions to life, and build and mentor talent, developing a team that thrives in complexity and grows together.
