We're looking for an experienced Industry Partnerships Manager to join our growing team and play a key role in expanding and nurturing our portfolio of industry-leading partners. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded relationship manager who is passionate about education, innovation and learner success.

About the Role

As Industry Partnerships Manager, you will take ownership of a global portfolio of industry partners, building trusted, long-term relationships and ensuring their continued success on the FutureLearn platform.

You'll oversee the full content lifecycle, from developing strategic partnership proposals and acquiring new partners, through to programme launch, optimisation and growth. Working closely with colleagues across learning design, product, marketing and commercial teams, you'll champion partner goals while ensuring every programme delivers exceptional learner outcomes.

This is a highly collaborative role that combines strategic relationship management, business development, content oversight and commercial thinking.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build and strengthen strategic relationships with leading industry partners to drive retention, growth and long-term success.
  • Lead the end-to-end content lifecycle, ensuring programmes meet FutureLearn's quality and pedagogical standards.
  • Identify and secure new partnership opportunities, developing compelling proposals and innovative content strategies.
  • Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to inform partnership growth and content development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate, develop and launch engaging learning programmes.
  • Ensure partner content is delivered on time, meets quality expectations and aligns with learner needs.
  • Monitor programme performance, lead reviews and implement improvements to maximise learner engagement and business outcomes.
  • Influence stakeholders across partner organisations, from subject matter experts to senior executives.
  • Manage and support team members while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing culture.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • 3+ years' experience in account management, strategic partnerships or business development.
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and delivering commercial growth.
  • A passion for educational content and digital learning.
  • Strong proposal development and partnership acquisition experience.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and translate insights into strategic action.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial awareness and financial acumen.
  • Experience leading or managing people.
  • Highly self-motivated, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable

  • Experience working with industry or strategic partnerships within EdTech, learning or digital content environments.
  • Knowledge of key sectors such as Technology, Health or Business.
  • Experience engaging senior executives and subject matter experts to build long-term partnerships.
  • A strong interest in skills development, workforce transformation and addressing global skills gaps.
