Industry Technical Consultant

Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, is seeking an Industry Technical Consultant for our Micro Electronics Division supporting Water Treatment applications, including cooling, pre-treatment, reclaim/recycle and wastewater. Our team of Industry Technical Consultants plays a crucial role in supporting business growth, driving innovation, and transferring knowledge to ensure the success of our programs and clients’ operation. What You Will Do:

  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Primarily responsible for troubleshooting and solving complex clients’ problems.
  • Training: Training technical audiences.
  • Operational Efficiency: Recommending operational efficiency improvements for our clients’ utility systems and validating new innovative technologies.
  • Sales Support: Assist Corporate Account Managers and Sales Reps in making technical related sales calls and presentations at a corporate level.
  • Market Research: Research, identify and define market and product application opportunities and assist in developing and implementing marketing plans to capture identified sales opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with field sales and corporate account teams to support industry-specific or strategic technical sales opportunities.
  • Client Support: Work closely with clients to understand their technology requirements, recommend suitable solutions, and provide training and support to ensure proper use of implemented systems.
  • Innovation: Collaborate with R&D and Marketing on Innovation projects, from ideation to launch, by completing Phase Gate milestones such as refining value propositions, defining operational savings, creating technical documentation, and educating internal and external stakeholders.
  • Pilot Applications: Lead innovation pilot applications, technical trials and market trials.
  • Training and Coaching: Facilitate training for associates and customers, sharing your specialized knowledge to foster skill development and proficiency. Coach individuals in the organization on processes, applications, technologies, and value documentation.

Position Details:

  • Location: This position is remote and will support customers across Europe.
  • Travel: 50% or more overnight travel required.
  • Benefits: Includes benefits package and company car.

Your Profile:

  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrable technical expertise and experience in optimizing water/wastewater and cooling operations in the Semi-Conductor Industry.
  • Industry Experience: Proven experience in complex chemistry, automation, digital, equipment and engineered solutions both from Ecolab and the wider industry.
  • Mindset: Inquisitive mind, challenging the status quo and embracing disruptive technologies.
  • Communication: Excellent communicator, able to consult, coach and mentor both internal stakeholders and customers alike.
  • Value Mindset: Value mindset with a focus on delivering measurable savings and impact to our customers.
  • Problem Solving: Solution oriented, problem solving mindset to complex challenges.
  • Travel: Willing and able to travel throughout Europe to customer sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong technical knowledge of water treatment, cooling applications and solutions
  • 5+ years of experience delivering technical solutions within customer-facing environments.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Process)
  • Recognized as an expert in industry or technology focus
  • Strong problem solving mindset and approach
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, result-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.
  • Excellent team orientation, proactivity and sense of urgency in supporting business growth and market leadership through differentiated technology and expertise.

Compensation Range:

The annual total compensation range for this position is 63,200 - 79,000 - 94,800 EUR (Italy) which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms.
