Are you a passionate midwife with a special interest in infant feeding and breastfeeding support? Do you want to make a lasting difference to families by helping them achieve their feeding goals and ensuring babies receive the best possible start in life?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Infant Feeding Midwife to join our dedicated Infant Feeding Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Midwife to play a key role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) Standards across our maternity and neonatal services.
About the Role
As an Infant Feeding Midwife, you will work as part of the Infant Feeding Team to provide specialist infant feeding support to women, babies, and families across maternity, neonatal, and community services. Working collaboratively with the Infant Feeding Team and under the direction of the Infant Feeding Lead Midwife, you will support the delivery of evidence-based infant feeding care, helping families to achieve their individual feeding goals and promoting positive health outcomes.
You will contribute to the provision of specialist breastfeeding and infant feeding support through clinics, ward-based education, and one-to-one consultations, supporting families with a range of feeding challenges. Working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality care and support the implementation and maintenance of UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative standards across the Trust. The role includes contributing to staff education, audit, quality improvement activities, and the development of infant feeding resources and services. Through effective teamwork, advocacy, and clinical expertise, you will help ensure that women, babies, and families receive compassionate, family-centred infant feeding support throughout their care journey.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- Band 6 Midwife with experience in infant feeding and breastfeeding support.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to delivering evidence-based infant feeding care.
