We have an exciting vacancy for an experienced Infection Prevention and Control Healthcare Professional
To join our team as we reshape infection prevention and control in Provide.
Role Overview
The post holder will be a visible leader with expertise in the field of infection prevention and control and decontamination. The post holder will be responsible for the operational delivery and the continued development of the infection prevention and control service, offering advice, developing prevention strategies, monitoring performance against organisational policies and external targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote, influence and develop knowledge in respect of infection prevention and control practice through networks of education and training, to minimise the risk of healthcare associated infections.
- To be a visible leader in Infection Prevention and Control, taking a proactive role in the management of Infection Prevention and Control across Provide services.
- An expert practitioner able to lead and manage the infection prevention and control team to ensuring robust governance processes, support and development to provide quality care to patients based on best practice.
- Oversee and support the delivery of an effective and viable infection prevention and control work programme; ensuring that it reflects the organisational strategy and operational objectives and taking the lead of the programme implementation.
- Oversight and management of outbreaks of infection in collaboration with the clinical teams and Group Director Pharmacy, Quality and AHP.
- Deliver an effective and proactive infection prevention and control programme across Provide services to prevent avoidable infections, manage known infections and minimise the risk of cross infection.
