About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Influencer Specialist to join our marketing team at BYD UK. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience working with UK influencers, and a strong track record in influencer relations, campaign execution, and social buzz building. This role requires a deep understanding of the UK influencer ecosystem, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive organic advocacy for the brand.

The Influencer PR Specialist will collaborate closely with the Social Media team, PR team, Dealer Marketing team, and broader marketing stakeholders to enhance BYD’s brand visibility and storytelling through influencer partnerships that create authentic and engaging content.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute BYD's UK influencer marketing strategy, identifying and recruiting creators across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other key platforms.
  • Build and manage influencer relationships, leading outreach, negotiations, onboarding, briefing, and campaign delivery for both paid and organic partnerships.
  • Coordinate end-to-end influencer campaigns, including content planning, approvals, product logistics, events, test drives, and collaboration with internal teams, agencies, dealers, and suppliers.
  • Review and approve influencer content to ensure it aligns with brand guidelines, legal requirements, and ASA regulations while maintaining authentic creator storytelling.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyse key metrics, and provide insights and recommendations to optimise future influencer activity.
  • Proactively identify and manage influencer or content risks, supporting reactive communications when needed.
  • Partner with the Dealer Marketing team to support local influencer initiatives and encourage dealer-led collaborations.

What You Need to Succeed

  • 5 years' experience in influencer marketing within the UK, either in-house or agency side.
  • Strong understanding of the UK influencer landscape, with experience managing creators across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong organisation and resilience.
  • Experience measuring campaign performance, analysing KPIs, and optimising influencer activity.
  • Confident briefing creators and providing clear creative direction.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with strong copywriting skills.
  • Experience in PR, social media, or brand storytelling is an advantage.
  • A degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
