We are looking for an Information Assurance Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and proactive individual who can combine sound judgement with specialist knowledge to help ensure compliance with information assurance standards across the organisation.
This is an opportunity to make a real impact by helping to protect information, manage risk and support public confidence. You will work on a diverse range of assurance activities, collaborate with colleagues across the organisation and contribute to the development of good governance and information management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- As an Information Assurance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Force to meet its information assurance obligations.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance, undertake compliance and assurance activities, assess and manage risks, and contribute to the development of policies, procedures and training programmes.
- Working with colleagues across a wide range of business areas, you will help ensure that information is managed lawfully, securely and effectively.

Essential Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge and understanding of data protection legislation, information assurance and information governance principles.
- Experience of analysing information, assessing risk and making evidence-based recommendations.
- Experience of providing specialist advice and guidance to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience of managing workloads effectively and delivering high-quality outcomes.
