Join the Future of Digital Construction
VolkerStevin is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Information Controller to join our team, supporting a major long-term framework in Helensburgh. Based between our site office in Helensburgh and our Glasgow city centre office, you'll play a key role in supporting project delivery through effective information management and digital collaboration.
As we continue our journey towards more innovative ways of working, you'll help drive the successful use and implementation of our Common Data Environment (CDE), Asite, ensuring project information is accurate, secure and accessible. Reporting to the Project Information Manager, you'll work closely with project teams, engineers, commercial staff, designers, suppliers and clients, acting as a key point of contact for information management and CDE support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administration and support for project information systems.
- Monitor CDE workflows and ensure timely review and approval of project information.
- Manage incoming and outgoing document exchanges.
- Maintain document registers, records and project archives.
- Upload, scan, file and distribute project documentation within Asite.
- Ensure compliance with document naming conventions and information management protocols.
- Carry out quality assurance checks and maintain information control standards.
- Ensure documents are submitted accurately and on time.
- Support project teams and supply chain partners with CDE processes and guidance.
- Maintain document revision control and ensure only current information is in use.
- Administer user permissions and maintain information security.
- Support handover and project completion activities.
- Act as a CDE Super User, providing training and one-to-one support where required.
- Attend Information Management meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with general information management duties to support successful project delivery.

About You
You'll have previous experience in an Information Controller, Document Controller, or similar role within a construction, infrastructure or engineering environment and be confident working with electronic document management systems. Experience of Asite or other Common Data Environments would be advantageous.
You'll also have:
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good IT and Microsoft Office skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS and/or SC Security Clearance for this role. Many positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. Eligibility for certain roles may be affected by factors including nationality, citizenship history, place of birth and residency status. Further information can be found through United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) clearance levels.
About You
- Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-Mail and Internet
- CDE knowledge, specifically Asite, would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint content management would also be an advantage
- Awareness of standards reflecting the control of information including ISO 19650 & PAS1192
- Proven work experience as a Document Controller or similar role essential
- Familiarity with quality processes and standards including ISO 19650 & ISO 9001
- Experience of delivering project information across multiple CDE/EDMS platforms
