Information Controller

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Information Controller to join our team, supporting the delivery of a major rail infrastructure programme. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project while developing your expertise within a dynamic engineering and project environment.

Working closely with project, design, and engineering teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective management and control of project information, supporting the successful delivery of critical infrastructure works. This position offers the chance to work on a complex and rewarding project where information management is essential to project success.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage and control project information throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all project documentation is correctly stored, maintained, and distributed in line with project requirements and procedures.
  • Coordinate information flows between clients, contractors, designers, and external suppliers.
  • Maintain document control systems and ensure information is accurate, current, and readily accessible.
  • Support engineering, design, and project management teams with information management requirements.
  • Monitor document submissions, reviews, approvals, and revisions to ensure compliance with project deadlines.
  • Track and report on documentation status and project information performance.
  • Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of information management processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company, client, and project-specific document control standards.

Skills, Experience And Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an Information Controller, Document Controller, or similar information management role.
  • Experience using document management platforms such as ProjectWise and Field View.
  • Strong understanding of document control processes and information management principles.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
  • Effective communication skills with the confidence to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and digital document management systems.
  • Proactive approach with a willingness to learn, develop, and take on additional responsibility.

About The Rail Business Unit
