Information Controller
Location: Motherwell
Sector: Civil Engineering / Infrastructure
Employment: Permanent
Salary: £35,000 + Car + Bonus
We are looking for an Information Controller to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering a £3 billion framework across Scotland over the next 5 years in the Power and Energy sector.
This role goes beyond traditional Document control; you will be responsible for helping to create, configure, and manage project information workflows, ensuring information moves efficiently between design, engineering, construction, the supply chain, and the client.
The Role:
Working closely with the project, design and digital teams, the Information Controller will:
- Supporting the creation, configuration and management of information workflows within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Ensure project information follows agreed naming, metadata, classification, revision and status requirements.
- The Information Controller will monitor information moving between designers, subcontractors, project teams and the client.
- Identify information bottlenecks and help improve project workflows.
- Configure user access, permissions, notifications and workflow routing where required.
- Support project teams and supply-chain partners in using the CDE correctly.
- Carry out information-quality and compliance checks.
- Maintain appropriate information governance, controls and audit trails.
- Support information delivery through design and construction into project handover.

What We're Looking For
You will ideally have:
- Experience in the Construction or Infrastructure sectors
- Worked in a similar role, Information Controller, Information Coordinator, Digital Support, or a role that supports the digital flow of information in an organisation.
- Practical experience in a team of creating, configuring or managing information workflows, rather than solely processing documents.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 and information-management principles.
