Document Controller
Are you organised, detail-focused and confident supporting project teams, consultants and supply-chain partners?
Wates Residential are looking for a Document Controller to support our project team with the management and control of digital information, including drawings and associated project documentation.
You'll help ensure information remains accurate, accessible and appropriately managed throughout every stage of a project. Working with Common Data Environments and other digital platforms, you'll support compliance with our information requirements and relevant industry standards, including ISO 19650 where applicable.
The Role
Reporting to the Information Manager, you'll provide day-to-day information management and document control support across our projects.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Coordinating the receipt, validation, classification, distribution, workflow and retrieval of project information.
- Administering and supporting the implementation of Common Data Environments.
- Establishing and monitoring information exchange processes, including file-naming protocols.
- Acting as a point of contact for project teams, suppliers, consultants and clients requiring information management or CDE support.
- Producing project status reports and dashboards covering areas such as information compliance, RFIs and technical submissions.
- Helping projects maintain an accurate and reliable set of digital information.

You'll also provide training and troubleshooting support for CDE-related systems, attend meetings as a subject-matter expert and offer practical information management guidance to project stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
You'll have a good understanding of:
- Common Data Environment management and administration, including experience using Viewpoint for Projects (Viewpoint 4Projects).
- Digital or hard-copy document control.
- Building Information Modelling and digital construction concepts.
- Information management standards, including awareness of ISO 19650.
- Information security.
- Construction and design management processes.
- Knowledge of Dalux would be an advantage.
