Information Security & Governance Assistant

Birmingham | £27,000 – £30,000 | Excellent Development Opportunity

Are you highly organised, naturally curious, and interested in building a career within Information Security, Data Protection, Risk and Governance?

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Information Security & Governance Assistant to join a growing Information Security team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the early stages of their career who wants to develop specialist skills within an increasingly important area of business. You do not need to already be an information security expert. We are looking for someone bright, methodical, and detail-focused who enjoys understanding how things work, asking questions, and making sure processes are followed properly.

Reporting to the Information Security Manager and working as part of the wider Operations team, you will provide operational and administrative support across Information Security, Data Protection, Supplier Assurance, Risk, Compliance, and Governance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
