Working closely with colleagues across Information Governance, Data Protection and Cyber Security, the role will help ensure information is managed securely, effectively and in compliance with legal, regulatory and business requirements.
This role acts as a central point of coordination, providing support across governance activities, stakeholder engagement and improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will help drive the efficient operation of information governance processes, promote best practice across the organisation, and contribute to the ongoing development of governance controls, systems and ways of working.
We are looking for a proactive, adaptable and technology-minded individual who enjoys solving problems, building strong working relationships and taking ownership of tasks through to completion. The successful candidate will be confident working with a wide range of stakeholders, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting the adoption of effective information management practices across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a culture of accountability, compliance and continuous improvement while helping to protect and optimise the organisation's information assets.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Support the delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Group's Information Governance framework, policies, standards, processes and supporting technologies.

- Assist in identifying, assessing and mitigating information-related risks, supporting the organisation's governance, security and compliance goals.
- Develop and maintain knowledge across key information governance disciplines, including data protection, records management, information security, data governance and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Monitor, manage and respond to information governance enquiries received through shared mailboxes, service management platforms and governance tools.
- Maintain governance records, registers and databases, producing insights and identifying trends to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and support governance activities, including data subject rights requests, personal data incidents, records management processes, policy reviews, governance assessments and compliance monitoring.
- Promote a strong culture of information governance through awareness campaigns, training, guidance and stakeholder engagement.
- Build effective working relationships with stakeholders across the business, providing support, advice and guidance on information governance matters.
- Research and monitor legislative, regulatory, industry and technology developments, helping to ensure governance practices remain aligned with emerging requirements and best practice.
- Take ownership of assigned activities and projects, ensuring delivery is timely, accurate and aligned to business objectives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
