Information & Knowledge Management Specialist

Location: Reading

Contract: 6-month contract

Pay: Up to £550 per day (Inside IR35)


Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Information & Knowledge Management Specialist to help establish and govern information and knowledge management practices within a highly regulated environment. You'll work closely with business, digital, and compliance teams to ensure information is managed securely, consistently, and in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain information governance policies and knowledge management best practices.
  • Support document and contract management processes, governance, and lifecycle management.
  • Promote effective information classification, retention, archiving, and disposal.
  • Improve the use of document repositories, metadata, version control, and information traceability.
  • Collaborate with digital, data, and compliance teams to embed knowledge management into business processes.
  • Deliver guidance and training on information management tools and best practices.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Develop and maintain information governance policies and knowledge management best practices.

Desirable:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with SharePoint or other enterprise document management platforms.
  • Experience working within Defence, Aerospace, Government, or other regulated industries.
