The Opportunity

Stantec’s Water business is at the forefront of delivering resilient, sustainable, and transformational infrastructure across the UK and Ireland. As our clients increasingly rely on data-driven assets and digital transformation, robust information management is fundamental to how we design, build, and optimize critical water programs.

We are currently seeking a Regional Lead to join our Information Management team. Reporting directly to the UK&I Information Management Lead, you will provide strategic leadership, functional management, and technical governance across regional clients and major delivery frameworks. You will bridge project delivery with business-wide digital strategy—setting standards, developing capability, and ensuring robust governance across information, data, and requirements engineering.

About The Role

In this pivotal leadership position, you will drive operational governance and lead our regional information management community, utilizing the "plan, do, check, act" model to embed continuous improvement into project delivery.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Governance & Standards: Co-develop and embed UK&I Information Management Standard Operating Procedures (IM SOPs), leading regional auditing, quarterly reporting to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and corrective action planning.
  • Delivery & Resourcing: Collaborate with Client, Framework, and Project Managers to resource standard and strategic projects using the 'right-person-right-job' principle.
  • Client & Bidding Strategy: Serve as a technical SME on strategic bids and client presentations, partnering with Client Service Directors and Market Area Leads to translate complex data landscapes into tailored client solutions.
  • Client Information Landscapes & Digital Product Enablement: Own the regional approach to information systems, managing client platforms, data dependencies, and digital enablement needs to ensure requirements are traceable and aligned with project outcomes.
  • Team Leadership & Capability Building: Provide line management, mentorship, and career planning for local Information Management teams. Drive recruitment, host regional IM forums, and upskill the community in business analysis, process mapping, requirements definition, and systems thinking.

Your Impact

You will shape the maturity and performance of information management across our Water sector operations. By establishing transparent data governance and robust IM SOPs, you will give our leadership team and clients total confidence in project delivery standards and external accreditations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
