We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Information Manager to join our team, supporting the delivery of a range of exciting projects at Gatwick Airport. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to further develop their skills, take ownership of information management processes, and play a key role in project delivery within a unique and fast-paced airport environment.
As the primary point of contact for information management, document control and Common Data Environment (CDE) requirements, you will be responsible for managing the project's information processes and systems, ensuring that controlled information is accurate, current, secure and accessible to project teams, clients, designers and supply chain partners.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects while driving best practice and continuous improvement across information management processes.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage project information in accordance with company procedures, client requirements, and ISO 19650 principles.
- Function as the primary point of contact for information management, document control, and Common Data Environment (CDE) activities.
- Administer and maintain the project's Common Data Environment (CDE) and associated information management systems, including Viewpoint for Projects (VfP), SharePoint, Meridian, and Field View.
- Manage document numbering, naming conventions, revision control, document statuses, and metadata.
- Perform quality assurance checks on project information prior to publication or formal submission.
- Upload, issue and control project documentation, including design information, temporary works documentation, RAMS, ITPs, management plans, programmes, and handover records.
- Configure and maintain folders, permissions, security groups, workflows, and user access across project systems.
- Manage formal submissions through client document management systems and monitor acknowledgements, approvals, rejections, and resubmissions.
- Maintain and monitor the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and support the coordination of Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs).
- Track project deliverables, workflows, reviews, transmittals, and outstanding information actions.
- Administer Field View forms and support the completion, management, and retention of site quality records.
- Onboard project team members, designers, and suppliers onto project systems, providing guidance, support and training as required.
- Support project audits, assurance activities, records management processes, and final project handover.
- Work closely with engineering, design, quality, project controls, commercial and delivery teams to resolve information-related issues.
- Maintain project controls dashboards, manage actions, and support or facilitate regular project meetings.
- Monitor information quality, governance, and compliance across all project information systems.
- Support project controls activities through effective data management, reporting, and information tracking.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and promote best practice in information management and document control.

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in information management, document control or digital project delivery within construction, infrastructure, engineering, or related project environments.
- Experience managing project information, document management structures, and operational support systems.
- Practical experience administering a Common Data Environment (CDE) or electronic document management system.
- Strong understanding of document control processes, revision management, approval workflows, transmittals, and information security.
- Experience maintaining and administering information management platforms and project collaboration systems.
- Ability to influence and support multidisciplinary project teams and external stakeholders in adopting information management best practices.
- Experience undertaking quality assurance checks and maintaining exacting standards of information accuracy and compliance.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within a live project environment.
- Excellent diligence and an initiative-taking approach to problem solving.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Competent in Microsoft 365, including: SharePoint, Excel, Word, and Teams
- Experience using: Viewpoint for Projects (VfP), Field View, and SharePoint
Desirable
- Working knowledge of ISO 19650 and information delivery planning principles.
- Experience using client document management portals and information management systems such as Meridian.
- Experience maintaining a Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and supporting Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP) coordination.
- Experience supporting project audits, assurance activities, project handover, and records management processes.
- Experience supporting project controls activities, reporting, and dashboard management.
- Experience working on airport, rail, highways, or other major infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of digital project delivery, asset information management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience providing guidance, coaching, or training to project teams on information management processes and systems.
