DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS

On behalf of DSIT, we are looking for a Information Manager Inside IR35 for a contract based hybrid Corsham.

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active SC clearance.

As a Information Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Design, develop and implement Information Management policies, processes and governance frameworks.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Information Management across a complex SATCOM programme.
  • Communicate policies, standards and governance requirements clearly through written documentation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage and maintain programme document registers, repositories and controlled information stores.
  • Provide Information Management assurance activities, reviews and compliance reporting.
  • Implement and promote best practice for document control, records management and information governance.
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint sites, access controls, permissions and filing structures.
  • Support the delivery of a future Information Management System and wider continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with programme stakeholders to improve information maturity and governance standards.
  • Apply project management disciplines to plan, coordinate and deliver Information Management improvements and change activities.

Essential Experience

  • Information Management, Information Governance or Knowledge Management experience.
  • Experience creating and implementing policies, processes and governance controls.
  • Strong document management and document register experience.
  • Experience conducting assurance, audit or compliance activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Experience managing SharePoint environments and information repositories.
  • Experience working within large, complex programmes or regulated environments.
  • Project delivery experience with a structured approach to planning and governance.
  • Active SC Clearance.

Desirable Experience

  • Defence, Government or National Security sector experience.
  • Configuration Management or Document Control experience.
  • Knowledge of GKIM principles and Information Assurance practices.
  • Experience implementing Information Management systems or organisational change initiatives.
