Job Title: Information Protection Lead Consultant

Location: London/Hybrid

Duration: 6-9 months

Rate: Up to £800 per day via an approved umbrella company (negotiable)

Join a reputed client as a European lead on a global Information Protection programme. You'll bring structure, clarity and momentum to help define what Europe needs for Data Loss Prevention, Records Retention and Information Governance-and lay the groundwork for successful delivery using Microsoft Purview.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the European discovery and requirements gathering for Information Protection
  • Translate business, legal, regulatory and operational needs into programme deliverables, controls and priorities
  • Own the European delivery roadmap, dependencies, risks and stakeholder engagement approach
  • Coordinate and align UK and European stakeholders across Legal, Privacy, Compliance, Security, IT, HR and the business
  • Define European DLP requirements, policies and use cases, including priority data types and protection needs
  • Support information classification, sensitivity labelling and information handling design
  • Gather and design Records Retention and information lifecycle management requirements with Legal, Compliance and Records Management
  • Shape business change and adoption planning-communications, readiness, training and accountability models
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Microsoft Purview capabilities and support target operating model definition

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience leading Information Protection, DLP, Information Governance or Records Management in large, complex organisations
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (Information Protection, DLP, Sensitivity Labels, Records Management and Data Lifecycle Management)
  • Demonstrable experience leading enterprise requirements gathering and solution design
  • Confidence working directly with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Security and business stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of data classification, governance and information lifecycle management
  • Experience delivering change and stakeholder engagement through large-scale technology/compliance transformations
  • Strong programme and stakeholder management across multiple functions, countries and seniority levels
  • Ability to translate regulatory and business requirements into practical controls
